California High School Softball - McClatchy nudges Franklin

McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Franklin Wildcats (Elk Grove, CA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Sacramento for a Metro match on Thursday, April 8. McClatchy will face a Dragons squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Victory Christian (Carmichael, CA). The Dragons record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Franklin moves to 1-9 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Mariposa County (Mariposa, CA) to face the Grizzlies in a non-league match on Friday, April 9. The Grizzlies go into the match with a record of 3-5. Mariposa County lost 6-0 in their recent league match against Waterford (Waterford, CA)
