Calvin Cougars (Calvin, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hicks Pirates (Leesville, LA), 68-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calvin upgrades its record to 33-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Simpson (Simpson, LA) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Monday, March 7. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 16-6. Simpson won 39-36 in their recent non-league bout against Pleasant Hill (Pleasant Hill, LA)
