Illinois High School Basketball - Alton succumbs to Lincoln

December 27, 2021: Alton, IL 62002

The Lincoln Railsplitters topped the host Alton Redbirds basketball team by a final score of 35-17 in Monday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Railsplitters face the Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, December 28. Lincoln will attempt to move on its 10-0 season record. The Blue Devils enter the game with a 10-1 record after their 73-54 non-league win over Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL).

With the defeat, Alton moves to 0-6 on the year. The Redbirds host Belleville West (Belleville, IL) to face the Maroons in a Southwestern game on Tuesday, January 4. The Maroons enter the game with a record of 3-6. Belleville West lost 76-61 in their recent league game against East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL)
