Mississippi High School Basketball - Quitman nips Harrison Central

December 11, 2021: Quitman, MS 39355

Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Harrison Central Red Rebels (Gulfport, MS), 55-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Quitman upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Richland (Richland, MS) to play the Rangers in a 4A Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 8-5.

Next up, the Red Rebels play the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars (Bassfield, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 21. Harrison Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 82-56 non-league loss to North Pike (Summit, MS).
