Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), 61-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Anson upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC) to clash with the Golden Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, December 3. The Golden Rams go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Chesterfield won 58-37 in their recent non-league bout against McBee (McBee, SC)

Next up, the Rowdy Rebel Bulls clash with the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 3. South Stanly will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 43-41 non-league loss to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC).
