Illinois High School Basketball - Steeleville fells Meridian
December 27, 2021: Steeleville, IL 62288 Steeleville Warriors (Steeleville, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL), 50-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Steeleville upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 28. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Murphysboro won 79-40 in their recent non-league bout against Cairo (Cairo, IL)
Next up, the Bobcats play the Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 29. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 60-38 non-league win over Roxana (Roxana, IL).
