New Mexico High School Basketball - Cuba holds off Cottonwood Classical Prep
February 9, 2022: Cuba, NM 87013 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Cuba Rams (Cuba, NM) and the visiting Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes (Albuquerque, NM), saw Cuba's basketball squad hold off Cottonwood Classical Prep by a tally of 77-71.
With the victory, Cuba improves its record to 3-13 on the campaign. The Rams host Bosque (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Bobcats in a 3A District 5 challenge on Friday, February 11. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Bosque lost 67-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Menaul (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Coyotes confront the Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM) in a 3A District 5 challenge, on Saturday, February 12. Cottonwood Classical Prep will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Sundevils come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 66-38 league win over East Mountain (Sandia Park, NM).
