California High School Soccer - Steele Canyon nudges Del Norte
January 28, 2023: San Diego, CA 92127 Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cougars confront the Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA) in a challenge, on Monday, January 30. Steele Canyon will attempt to better on its 13-2 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Helix (La Mesa, CA).
The Nighthawks now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westview for a challenge on Friday, February 3. Del Norte will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 1-0 league win over La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA). The Wolverines record now stands at 12-0.
