Kentucky High School Volleyball - Madison Southern tips Burgin
August 25, 2009: Berea, KY 40403 Madison Southern Eagles (Berea, KY) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Burgin Bulldogs (Burgin, KY), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Eagles clash with the Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 27. Madison Southern will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Engineers come into the match with a 6-3 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Breathitt County (Jackson, KY).
With the loss, Burgin drops to 3-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Garrard County (Lancaster, KY) to clash with the Golden Lions in a District 44 match on Thursday, August 27. The Golden Lions come into the match with a record of 3-5. Garrard County won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Berea (Berea, KY)
