Illinois High School Volleyball - Wilmington edged by Plainfield South
October 17, 2009: Plainfield, IL 60544 The Plainfield South Cougars held off the visiting Wilmington Wildcats volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cougars now have a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Romeoville for a Suburban Prairie - South test on Tuesday, October 20. Plainfield South will confront a Spartans team coming off a 3-0 league win over Oswego (Oswego, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-10.
The Wildcats (22-11) will now prepare for their test against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers enter the Interstate Eight test with a 9-6 record.
