September 26, 2009: Cuero, TX 77954 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) and the host Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX), saw Poth's volleyball squad beat Cuero by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Poth upgrades its record to 22-9 on the year. The Pirates travel to Navarro (Geronimo, TX) to play the Panthers in a 2A Region IV District 28 bout on Tuesday, September 29. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 14-11. Navarro won 3-2 in their recent league bout against Smiley (Nixon, TX)
The Gobblers now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Goliad for a 3A Region IV District 28 bout on Tuesday, September 29.
