California High School Basketball - Sweetwater nips Lincoln

December 17, 2019: National City, CA 91950

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA) and the visiting Lincoln Hornets (San Diego, CA), saw Sweetwater's basketball squad hold off Lincoln by a count of 58-57.

With the victory, Sweetwater upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Central (El Centro, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 18. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Central won 48-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ)

Next up, the Hornets play the Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 19. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 72-62 non-league win over Point Loma (San Diego, CA).
