California High School Softball - Salinas nudges Soquel

Salinas Cowboys (Salinas, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Soquel Knights (Soquel, CA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cowboys now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Carmel for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 30. Salinas will face a Padres squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to North Salinas (Salinas, CA). The Padres record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Soquel falls to 15-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Harbor (Santa Cruz, CA) to face the Pirates in a Santa Cruz Coast challenge on Tuesday, May 1. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 5-9. Harbor lost 8-3 in their recent league challenge against Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, CA)
