Iowa High School Football - Keokuk crushed by Assumption
October 13, 2023: Davenport, IA 52804 Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team rout the visiting Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA), 48-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Assumption improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA) to battle the Panthers in a 3A District 4 test on Friday, October 20. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 0-8. Mt. Pleasant lost 55-14 in their recent league test against Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA)
With the loss, Keokuk drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Mount Vernon (Atlanta, GA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league test on Friday, October 20. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 5-2. Mount Vernon won 42-17 in their recent non-league test against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, GA)
