In Friday's non-league game, the Panther Creek Panthers (Frisco, TX) football team smashed the visiting Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), by a final score of 48-7.

The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Arlington Heights overwhelmed Joshua (Joshua, TX), 36-6, in a non-league game.

The Knights now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Heritage for a non-league game on Friday, September 1. Independence will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 41-14 non-league win over White (Dallas, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-0.
