In Friday's non-league game, the Lago Vista Vikings (Lago Vista, TX) football team knocked off the visiting Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX), by a final score of 31-12.

The Vikings (1-2) will now prepare for their game against La Grange (La Grange, TX). The Leopards come into the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, La Grange was dropped by La Vernia (La Vernia, TX), 45-0, in a non-league game.

The Buffaloes now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burnet for a non-league game on Friday, September 15. Giddings will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 24-10 non-league loss to Brownwood (Brownwood, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.
