Alamosa Maroons (Alamosa, CO) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Maroons confront the Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO) in a 3A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, April 24. Alamosa will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record. The Pirates enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 1-0 league win over Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO).
