Alameda Pirates (Lakewood, CO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting DSST: Byers Falcons (Denver, CO), 54-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Alameda upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Elizabeth (Elizabeth, CO) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 11. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Elizabeth won 47-42 in their recent non-league bout against Lake County (Leadville, CO)

Next up, the Falcons play the Vail Christian Saints (Edwards, CO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 8. DSST: Byers will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Saints come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 62-55 non-league loss to Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO).
