In Saturday's non-league match, the host Cotopaxi Pirates basketball team scored a tight 50-47 triumph over the Creede Miners.

In their next game, the Pirates meet the Florence Huskies (Florence, CO) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, December 19. Cotopaxi will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Huskies enter the match with a 0-6 record after their 43-38 non-league loss to Salida (Salida, CO).
