Utah High School Basketball - Escalante nudges Dugway
January 26, 2019: Escalante, UT 84726 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Escalante Moquis (Escalante, UT) basketball squad edged the visiting Dugway Mustangs (Dugway, UT), by a count of 47-44.
The Moquis (1-9) will now prepare for their outing against Water Canyon (Hildale, UT). The Wildcats go into the 1A Region 20 outing with a 9-6 record. In their last outing, Water Canyon was tipped by Piute (Junction, UT), 64-59, in a league outing.
The Mustangs now hold a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Tintic for a 1A Region 21 outing on Wednesday, January 30. Dugway will clash with a Miners squad coming off a 88-71 league loss to Wendover (Wendover, UT). The Miners record now stands at 3-12.
