In Saturday's non-league outing, the Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX) basketball squad beat the host Mabank Panthers (Mabank, TX), by a margin of 50-35.

The Sandies (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Latexo (Latexo, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A Region III District 20 outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Latexo was topped by Cayuga (Cayuga, TX), 61-58, in a non-league outing.
