January 12, 2019: Hastings, NE 68901 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Kearney Catholic Stars (Kearney, NE) and the host St. Cecilia Bluehawks (Hastings, NE), saw Kearney Catholic's basketball squad overcome St. Cecilia by a tally of 51-37.
With the victory, Kearney Catholic improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Stars host Aurora (Aurora, NE) to confront the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 17. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 12-1. Aurora won 58-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Columbus (Columbus, NE)
Next up, the Bluehawks confront the Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE) in a C2 District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, January 15. St. Cecilia will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 51-45 league win over Sandy Creek (Fairfield, NE).
