December 20, 2018: Virginia Beach, VA 23462 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Gateway Christian (Virginia Beach, VA) and the visiting Tidewater Academy Warriors (Wakefield, VA), saw Gateway Christian's basketball squad overcome Tidewater Academy by a tally of 42-34.
With the victory, Gateway Christian improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The travel to Perquimans (Hertford, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 27. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Perquimans won 55-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC)
Next up, the Warriors play the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights (Powhatan, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 4. Tidewater Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 59-43 non-league loss to Isle of Wight Academy (Isle of Wight, VA).
