Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Phoenix (Winston-Salem, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Lexington Senior Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 76-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Blue Ridge (St. George, VA) to play the Barons in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 22. The Barons come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Blue Ridge won 55-52 in their recent non-league bout against Melbourne Tigers (Melbourne, Australia) (, )

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC) in a Central Carolina 2A bout, on Friday, January 4. Lexington Senior will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 77-49 league loss to Thomasville (Thomasville, NC).
