Connecticut High School Lacrosse - New Canaan trounced by St. Anthony's
May 9, 2009: New Canaan, CT 06840 In Saturday's non-league contest, the St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) lacrosse team routed the host New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT), by a count of 12-4.
Coming up next, the Friars meet the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds (Uniondale, NY) in a Catholic - Island contest, on Monday, May 11. St. Anthony's will attempt to advance on its 10-2 season record. The Firebirds come into the contest with a 4-11 record after their 9-2 league loss to St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY).
The Rams now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Stamford for a Fairfield County contest on Monday, May 11. New Canaan will meet a Black Knights team coming off a 7-6 league win over Norwalk (Norwalk, CT). The Black Knights record now stands at 4-7.
