Virginia High School Basketball - Green Run nipped by Phoebus
February 1, 2012: Hampton, VA 23663 The Phoebus Phantoms tipped the visiting Green Run Stallions basketball team by a final score of 43-39 in Wednesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Phantoms face the Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) in a AAA Peninsula game, on Thursday, February 2. Phoebus will attempt to move on its 3-14 season record. The Wolverines enter the game with a 18-1 record after their 68-18 league win over Gloucester (Gloucester, VA).
With the defeat, Green Run moves to 2-16 on the year. The Stallions travel to Salem (Virginia Beach, VA) to face the Sundevils in a AAA Beach game on Tuesday, February 7. The Sundevils enter the game with a record of 21-0. Salem won 53-42 in their recent league game against Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA)
