In Friday's league outing, the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Grant Generals (Portland, OR), by a count of 72-32.

The Irish (17-5) will now prepare for their outing against South Eugene (Eugene, OR). The Axemen go into the 6A Special District 1 outing with a 10-12 record. In their last outing, South Eugene was crushed by Springfield (Springfield, OR), 68-34, in a non-league outing.

The Generals now hold a 8-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thurston for a 6A Special District 1 outing on Tuesday, February 14. Grant will encounter a Colts squad coming off a 47-40 non-league loss to Willamette (Eugene, OR). The Colts record now stands at 6-16.
