Anderson Indians (Anderson, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Huntington North Vikings (Huntington, IN), 61-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Anderson upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Indians host Connersville (Connersville, IN) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Connersville won 31-30 in their recent league bout against Jay County (Portland, IN)

Next up, the Vikings play the Northrop Bruins (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Huntington North will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 57-41 league loss to Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne, IN).
