Illinois High School Basketball - Zion-Benton holds off Lake Park
December 17, 2011: Zion, IL 60099 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees (Zion, IL) and the visiting Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL), saw Zion-Benton's basketball squad hold off Lake Park by a count of 56-54.
With the victory, Zion-Benton upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Zee-Bees travel to Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL) to play the Patriots in a North Suburban - Lake challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Stevenson won 44-32 in their recent league challenge against Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL)
Next up, the Lancers play the East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) in a Upstate Eight test, on Friday, January 13. Lake Park will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record.
