Florida High School Baseball - Rutherford can't hold off Wakulla
February 26, 2010: Crawfordville, FL 32327 In Friday's league game, the host Wakulla War Eagles baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Rutherford Rams.
The War Eagles (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Godby (Tallahassee, FL). The Cougars go into the 4A District 2 game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Godby tipped Maclay (Tallahassee, FL), 16-8, in a non-league game.

Game Summary
Wakulla picked a big district win over the Rutherford Rams Friday night 2-1. The War Eagles were led by a solid pitching performance from Shay Barwick. Shay pitched 5 innings allowing just 1 unearned run on 4 hits to go along with 10 strikeouts and no walks. Robby Coles pitched the final 2 innings allowing no runs and struck out 3.
At the plate Austin Lentz and Conner Smith scored the only 2 runs of the game. Wakulla plays its 2nd district game of the season Tuesday March 2 at Godby 4:30 p.m
