With the triumph, Gilbert improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA) to confront the Bluejays in a 3A District 6 test on Friday, October 2. The Bluejays come into the test with a record of 5-2. Bondurant-Farrar won 37-24 in their recent league test against Benton (Van Horne, IA)
With the loss, Newton drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Ballard (Huxley, IA) to confront the Bombers in a 3A District 6 test on Friday, October 2. The Bombers come into the test with a record of 2-3. Ballard lost 27-26 in their recent non-league test against Carlisle (Carlisle, IA)
