October 2, 2009: Athol Springs, NY 14010 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals (Youngstown, OH) and the host St. Francis Red Raiders (Athol Springs, NY), observed Cardinal Mooney's football squad bounce St. Francis by a tally of 55-7.
The Cardinals now possess a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to Benedictine for a non-league contest on Saturday, October 10. Cardinal Mooney will play a Bengals squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to St. Edward (Lakewood, OH). The Bengals record now stands at 1-5.
Coming up next, the Red Raiders play the St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders (Buffalo, NY) in a Monsignor Martin AA contest, on Friday, October 9.
