September 11, 2009: Buda, TX 78610 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Bowie Bulldogs (Austin, TX) and the host Hays Rebels (Buda, TX), observed Bowie's football squad defeat Hays by a count of 27-3.
The Bulldogs now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Westlake for a 5A Region IV District 25 contest on Friday, September 25. Bowie will encounter a Chaparrals squad coming off a 20-7 non-league win over A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX). The Chaparrals record now stands at 2-1.
Coming up next, the Rebels encounter the McCallum Knights (Austin, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 18. Hays will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 41-14 non-league win over Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, TX).
