Arizona High School Football - Basha prevails Cibola
October 2, 2009: Yuma, AZ 85364 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Basha Bears (Chandler, AZ) and the host Cibola Raiders (Yuma, AZ), observed Basha's football squad defeat Cibola by a count of 24-7.
The Bears now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Highland for a 5A Central contest on Friday, October 9. Basha will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 30-0 league loss to Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ). The Hawks record now stands at 2-3.
Coming up next, the Raiders encounter the Kofa Kings (Yuma, AZ) in a 5A Gila Valley contest, on Friday, October 9. Cibola will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Kings go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 47-8 non-league loss to North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ).
