September 2, 2011: West Plains, MO 65775 In Friday's league game, the Joplin Eagles (Joplin, MO) football team knocked off the host West Plains Zizzers (West Plains, MO), by a final score of 35-7.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Hillcrest (Springfield, MO). The Hornets come into the Ozarks game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Hillcrest was dropped by Rogers Heritage (Rogers, AR), 37-20, in a non-league game.
The Zizzers now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kickapoo for a Ozarks game on Friday, September 9. West Plains will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 20-16 league win over Rolla (Rolla, MO). The Chiefs record now stands at 2-0.
