September 23, 2011: Tuscumbia, AL 35674 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Sheffield Bulldogs football squad scored a close 19-14 victory over the Colbert Heights Wildcats.
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Elkmont Red Devils (Elkmont, AL) in a 3A Region 8 match, on Friday, September 30. Sheffield will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Red Devils enter the match with a 3-2 record after their 27-20 non-league win over West Limestone (Lester, AL).
The Wildcats (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Danville (Danville, AL). The Hawks enter the 3A Region 8 match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Danville held off Priceville (Priceville, AL), 41-38, in a non-league match.
