October 21, 2011: Gonzales, LA 70737 The East Ascension Spartans held off the visiting Catholic Bears football team by a count of 36-29 in Friday's league test.
With the triumph, East Ascension improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Woodlawn (Baton Rouge, LA) to confront the Panthers in a 5A District 5 test on Friday, October 28. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 3-5. Woodlawn lost 23-17 in their recent league test against Dutchtown (Geismar, LA)
With the loss, Catholic drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Bears host St. Amant (St. Amant, LA) to confront the Gators in a 5A District 5 test on Friday, October 28. The Gators come into the test with a record of 5-4. St. Amant won 45-13 in their recent league test against McKinley (Baton Rouge, LA)
