Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA), 4-1 in a league test.

With the win, Downingtown East upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Cougars host Great Valley (Malvern, PA) to battle the Patriots in a Ches-Mont test on Monday, May 6. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 2-13. Great Valley lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Kennett (Kennett Square, PA)

With the defeat, Sun Valley falls to 6-10 on the season. The Vanguards host Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA) to battle the Golden Knights in a Ches-Mont test on Wednesday, May 8. The Golden Knights come into the test with a record of 6-9.
