Spectators at Wednesday's league battle between the Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC) and the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC), saw Red Springs's baseball squad knock off Fairmont by a count of 4-2.

Coming up next, the Red Devils play the North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, April 20. Red Springs will attempt to move on its 12-5 season record. The Scorpions enter the battle with a 7-12 record after their 3-2 league loss to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).

The Golden Tornadoes now possess a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lumberton for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 20. Fairmont will play a Pirates squad coming off a 10-4 league loss to Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 3-14.
