In Friday's non-league battle, the host Valley Central Vikings lacrosse team scored a close 8-6 win over the Saugerties Sawyers.

The Vikings now have a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Suffern for a non-league battle on Monday, May 16. Valley Central will face a Mounties team coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Fox Lane (Bedford, NY). The Mounties record now stands at 13-2.

In their next game, the Sawyers face the Warwick Wildcats (Warwick, NY) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, May 18. Saugerties will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record.
