With the win, New Smyrna Beach upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Barracudas travel to Flagler Palm Coast (Palm Coast, FL) to battle the Bulldogs in a 6A District 2 test on Tuesday, March 8. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 4-3. Flagler Palm Coast won 6-4 in their recent league test against DeLand (DeLand, FL)
With the defeat, Seabreeze falls to 4-2 on the season. The Sandcrabs travel to University (Orange City, FL) to battle the in a 6A District 2 test on Tuesday, March 8. The come into the test with a record of 3-4. University won 9-8 in their recent league test against Pine Ridge (Deltona, FL)
Game Summary
Ben Freedman through 4 strong innings to lead NSBHS to its third consecutive shutout of the week. The Cudas scored early to take control of the game led by Blake Sydeski's two run homer and Angelo Amendolare set the tone with three hits, five stolen bases and three runs scored. Amendolare also struck out the side in the seventh to help preserve the win.
