Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) and the host Mission Viejo Diablos (Mission Viejo, CA), saw Esperanza's baseball squad knock off Mission Viejo by a count of 8-2.

Coming up next, the Aztecs encounter the Yorba Linda Mustangs (Yorba Linda, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 9. Esperanza will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 2-13 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA).
