California High School Baseball - Linfield Christian defeats Del Norte

April 21, 2011: San Diego, CA 92127

Linfield Christian Lions (Temecula, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA), 9-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Linfield Christian upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Lions host Western Christian (Upland, CA) to clash with the Fighting Lancers in a Ambassador game on Saturday, April 23. The Fighting Lancers go into the game with a record of 6-10. Western Christian lost 7-6 in their recent non-league game against Hillcrest Christian (Granada Hills, CA)

The Nighthawks (10-9) will now prepare for their game against Orange Glen (Escondido, CA). The Patriots go into the Valley game with a 5-9 record. In their last game, Orange Glen was overwhelmed by Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA), 10-7, in a non-league game.
