Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Davis Aerospace Tech Aviators (Detroit, MI) and the visiting Academy of the Americas (Detroit, MI), saw Davis Aerospace Tech's basketball squad knock off Academy of the Americas by a count of 49-30.

With the victory, Davis Aerospace Tech upgrades its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Aviators travel to Douglass (Detroit, MI) to play the Hurricanes in a Detroit Public II challenge on Friday, January 13. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the play the Communication Media Arts Pharaohs (Detroit, MI) in a Detroit Public I challenge, on Friday, January 13. Academy of the Americas will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
