Nebraska High School Basketball - Boyd County thwarts Ainsworth

The Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE) basketball knocked off the visiting Ainsworth Bulldogs (Ainsworth, NE), 45-37 in Tuesday's league test.

The Spartans (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Chambers/Wheeler Central (Chambers, NE). The Renegades go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Chambers/Wheeler Central went down by Stuart (Stuart, NE), 70-46, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host O'Neill for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. Ainsworth will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 63-56 league win over Boone Central (Albion, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 5-3.
