The Meigs Marauders basketball team (Pomeroy, OH), dropped 54-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH)
The Spartans now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nelsonville-York for a Tri-Valley I battle on Friday, January 13. Alexander will battle a Buckeyes team coming off a 47-30 non-league loss to New Lexington (New Lexington, OH). The Buckeyes record now stands at 7-5.
The Marauders (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against Athens (The Plains, OH). The Bulldogs come into the Tri-Valley I battle with a 3-9 record. In their last battle, Athens dropped by Wellston (Wellston, OH), 62-38, in a league battle.
