The Neches Tigers (Neches, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Apple Springs Eagles (Apple Springs, TX), 69-28 in Tuesday's league test.

The Tigers (14-8) will now prepare for their test against Slocum (Elkhart, TX). The Mustangs go into the 1A Region IV District 27 test with a 3-16 record. In their last test, Slocum was trounced by Laneville (Laneville, TX), 80-54, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Centerville for a 1A Region IV District 27 contest on Friday, January 13. Apple Springs will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-35 league win over Kennard (Kennard, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-11.
