The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Saint Francis Lancers to 60 in the Monarchs league victory on Tuesday.
The Monarchs now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory for a West Catholic contest on Friday, January 13. Archbishop Mitty will battle a Fightin' Irish team coming off a 78-58 league loss to St. Ignatius (San Francisco, CA). The Fightin' Irish record now stands at 7-5.
The Lancers (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against St. Ignatius (San Francisco, CA). The Wildcats come into the West Catholic contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, St. Ignatius prevailed over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (San Francisco, CA), 78-58, in a league contest.
