The Arlington Catholic Cougars (Arlington, MA) basketball nipped the visiting Cardinal Spellman Cardinals (Brockton, MA), 70-66 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cougars (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Archbishop Williams (Braintree, MA). The Bishops go into the Catholic Central - Large test with a 8-0 record. In their last test, Archbishop Williams got by Boston Latin Academy (Dorchester, MA), 94-61, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop Stang for a Catholic Central - Large contest on Friday, January 13. Cardinal Spellman will meet a Spartans team coming off a 63-41 non-league win over Bishop Connolly (Fall River, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 4-4.
