The Ascension Academy Cardinals (Amarillo, TX) basketball felled the visiting Southcrest Christian (Lubbock, TX), 52-42 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cardinals (4-3) will now prepare for their test against All Saints Episcopal School (Lubbock, TX). The Patriots go into the TAPPS 2A District 1 test with a 20-1 record. In their last test, All Saints Episcopal School thwarted Kingdom Prep Academy (Lubbock, TX), 37-24, in a league test.
The now own a 10-11 record. They play next when they host Abilene Christian for a TAPPS 2A District 1 test on Friday, January 13. Southcrest Christian will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 65-32 league win over Christ the King Cathedral (Lubbock, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 16-4.
